THE MAGIC DOUGH

         So this is a very interesting experiment to do. Basically we have dough which glows in the dark and  you can make it using only the things available in local shops. The dough has a texture like a pizza dough, when we apply force it absorbs it and falls like thick fluid when held in air.


MATERIALS REQUIRED

  • Potatoes.
  • Tonic water or a glowing fluid like highlighter ink.
  • Some bowls.
  • A jar.

PROCEDURE

  • First chop the potatoes finely and soak them in water for few minutes .
  • Strain out the water and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • A separate layer of white fluid (starch) settles at the bottom. Pour out the remaining water and again leave it undisturbed.
  • More of waste water is separated pour it out into some other container , don't think it'll be useful in any case.

 Now you from here on there are alternative procedures:-

CASE : 1 (USING TONIC WATER) 
  • Leave the dough for 2 to 3 days to drive up.
  • Then if you want to make the dough mix the power with the tonic water.
Note : You can even destarch the potato directly using tonic water instead of drying the starch to powder and again making a dough using tonic water.



CASE : 2 (USING HIGHLIGHTER INK)
  • Dry the dough to powder for 2 to 3 days.
  • Dilute the ink of highlighter in water and you can mix the powder with it.
CONCLUSION :-
The one made with highlighter glows in darkness and the tonic water one glows only in UV light or black light.
